Our operators have all attended Forestry Practices Code Seminars and road construction courses presented by: Weldwood of Canada, Ainsworth Lumber and the Ministry of Forests. Instructors include: Allan Waters of Ministry of Forests, Richard Labocane of Weldwood.

ROAD CONSTRUCTION for: MINISTRY OF FORESTS , MINISTRY OF HIGHWAYS,

Duties Include:
-Clear right of way of all standing timber,
-Buck to length all merchantable wood & deck
-Grub stumps. Rake and pile or bury debris within construction zone.
-Remove overburden and landscape
-Construct sub-base and drainage.
-Install culverts, head walls, and sand bag water entrance.
-Dozer grade and trim landscape
-Excavator grade and landscape with tilting blade attachment.
-Install Bridges and decks.
-Install sediment traps and ditch blockers.
-Install Rip-Rap drainage and water courses.
-Wetland construction utilizing geo-textile fabric.
-Trim topsoil, haul offsite or landscape.
-Blast rock or rip rock to establish correct sub base elevation or ditch lines.
-Slope cut banks to Ministry specs.
-Construct super elevations and road crowns.
-Grade and compact to 100% proctor density.
-Install base gravels, grade and compact.
-Final grade compact and cleanup.
-Provide layout and survey.

-Employ flagging personnel and supply safety signage.
-Install curbs, gutter and sidewalks.

-Excavate approx.40,000 cubic meters of unsuitable soils for load bearing construction, haul off site and dispose.
-Re-Fill excavation with pit run gravels, compact and grade to engineer's spec. ( one foot lifts)
-Excavate footings, underground utilities.

-Re align creek and rip rap to Ministry of Environment standards.
